President's Message from Ken Lee

I would like to share with you a personal story.  In a conversation with my son, he asked "Why, after my parents and also my grandparents, born in America dating back to the turn of the century, am I not considered as much American as my friend who immigrated from Europe less than 15 years ago?"  These stereotypes are what we need to change.  We all deal with stereotypes in our everyday lives.  But if we don't begin to make a change, our children's world will never improve.  Change begins with us.

I would like you to think about your own attitudes today.  When buying an item at a store, do you ask the sales person, "How are you doing today?" and really mean it.  Do you strike up a conversation with others?  If you are calling a company speaking to someone over the phone that you don't know, are YOU friendly?  Do you converse with the restaurant server?  Atlanta is our home, and we are part of the community.  We must be aware of our image and uphold our reputation.
