Henry J. Yee
Henry is a securities investor focusing on common
stocks listed on the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ. He was formerly a
successful land speculator in the Kennesaw, Town Center Mall area of Cobb
County. A deputy Director of Human Resources for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife
Service with duty locations at Portland, Oregon, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta,
Georgia, and the co-owner of a Chinese restaurant in Marietta, Georgia.
He is Vice President of Public Affairs for the
Organization of Chinese Americans (OCA), Georgia Chapter. OCA is a civil rights
organization with headquarters in Washington, D.C., and 50 local chapters
nationwide.
In 2004, Henry was active in the political campaign
that elected Johnny Isakson to the United States Senate.
In 2002, he was awarded a contract from the Secretary
of State, Cathy Cox, to conduct voter education and introduce the new touch
screen electronic voting equipment to the Asian community.
In 2000, Henry was selected by the U.S. Census Bureau
to promote participation in the Asian community and emphasize the importance of
being counted in Census 2000.
He is a member of the Chinese American Lions Club of
Atlanta. During his year as President (1998-1999), Henry set the record for
raising the moist funds ever in the fourteen years history of the club. He has
also served as zone and region chairman of Georgia Lions district 18F, which is
comprised of 18 clubs. He has received the highest award granted by Lions
International including the Melvin Jones Fellow, Tom Bingham Fellow and Lion of
the Year.
Henry is a graduate of the University of Oregon. He is
also a director of the Kwong Tung Association of Atlanta and the Founder and
president of American¡¦s Toi San Society.
His favorite past time is exercising at the LA Fitness
Sport club which he does six days a week.
Henry is married to Angela who is president of the
Kwong Tung Association of Atlanta. They have two daughters, Brenda and
Adrienne.
